What are your plans for the summer? City getaway? Road trippin’ or cruisin’? Whatever you’re up to, there’s no denying we ladies luv our products to keep us crisp in IRL and for the gram. I confess, I’ve upped ante on self-care and embraced scent layering. So I’m always on the lookout for products that will keep me in good nick. My invitation to QVC’s Glowtopia couldn’t have come at a more opportune time. It was an chance to see what the brands they stock have in store for summer. Journalists, influencers, and content creators were invited to explore the immersive event. Later, it was opened to the public. Some of my favourite brands were represented there, and I discovered others, well, new to me anyway. Now, for my personal highlight of Glowtopia, read on.
What is QVC
Firstly, for those who didn’t know, QVC (Quality, Value, Convenience) is a multinational multimedia retailer and shopping network with a global presence. Since launching in the UK in 1993, QVC has connected millions of shoppers with innovative products, trusted brands, and exceptional customer service through both live broadcasting and digital platforms.
QVC is known for having presenters and brand experts demonstrating products in real time. Viewers/customers see practical demonstrations and exclusive
As an omnichannel retailer, QVC makes shopping convenient and accessible across multiple platforms. Customers can browse and buy through dedicated television channels, stream live content online, or shop via the QVC website and mobile app.
The Glowtopia Experience
QVC’s Glowtopia was held in the iconic London destination, Covent Garden, at The Stables. During the immersive beauty and wellness experience, visitors could discover new products and get expert advice.
Brands that had a presence at the event included: Dyson, NEOM Wellbeing, Gatineau, Scandinavian Biolabs, Ultrasun , Nails.INC , Percy & Reed, Shay & Blue and more. Ciroa had a display with products but they didn’t have a representative, and sadly, no samples were in the pick ‘n’ mix.
While I was there, I took the opportunity to catch up with industry professionals and influencers I know. Then, I attended the Makeup Masterclass with Zara from Bobbi Brown. Top Takeaways: eyeliner can transfer due to how skincare is applied, and we are never too old for glitter. Bobbi Brown’s Moonstone eyeshadow was recommended. It can be used as a topper or on it’s own.
Zara used products from the Spring Fling Kit with the Summer Bronze Cherry rouge. She also demonstrated how their Extra Plump Lip Serum can be used on the cheek as a hydrated, highlighted cheek look.
I mentioned scent layering earlier, well! Shay & Blue were there. The brand creates unisex perfumes with vegan formulas. I smelt their new fragrance, Coconut Fig Leaf. So summery! Yes, it’s in my pick ‘n’ mix bag.
Ultrasun was also there! If you follow me, you will know I often feature their products. All skin needs sun protection. They had their new Tinted Photo Age Fluid; the finish is amazing. I use the OG but I will get my hands on the newbie. It same lush creamy texture of the original but the tint gives a slight glow to the skin. What’s more summer than glowing skin?!
Before leaving, I had a much-needed hand massage from Gatineau. The beautician used products from their Collagen Expert Skincare Collection. The products come from the face care and smell so uplifting. I’m glad I chose their Age Benefit Night Renewal Cream for my pick ‘n’ mix. It’s formulated with Regenight™, Nephoria™, and Lotus Flower. The cream is meant to reduce the appearance of deep lines & wrinkles while repairing and boosting the skin’s moisture barrier function. Super excited to try it!
Get Social
As skincare immersive experience become more popular, they give the publc a chance to speak to brands directly and not rely souly on social media. From a content creator perspective, I also value the chane to also see for myself and speak directly to industry professional to ensure the information I share is as accutrate as possible While I am not a skincare professional, I can sure what I have learnt with you.
PSA: Always consult with your GP, aesthetician or relevant professional if you have any serious health concerns or takng medication before changing you selfcare regime.
All the products I mentioned, you will find them on QVC Beauty. If you enjoyed this recap, please visit my beauty page where you will find product reviews.
