I’m Maria.

Hi! I’m Maria, a Trini based in Surrey with my family. Home to me is wherever I hunker down for the night.

Some of you may know me from my other blog The Tiger Tales. For over 11 years I wrote and created parenting, lifestyle, and travel content. My children are older, and we are settled into our forever home; it’s time to pivot into home, lifestyle and travel.

You can expect at least one post per month, and I’m active daily on my @MsXpat and @xpatathome Instagram accounts. I love all things cottagecore, country living, quiet walks, OH, and makeup! I’m an active Gen X. 

Stay with me and I’ll share with you all the beauty that gives me life: art, architecture, DIY, interior decorating, mindfulness, self-care, and travel. My lifestyle content will be geared toward 50+ women. I will cover general wellbeing. I aim to inspire mature women to get the best out of ‘the everyday’.

On the topic of DIY, I’m not an expert. Whatever I share with you will be jobs hubby and I have had a go at.
