You know spring is in full swing when images of London’s floral festivals start to pop up. My experience of Belgravia in Bloom was in 2022. The theme was “Beautifully British” to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. The displays were amazing! Two of my favourite displays were the teapot at Eccleston Square and Big Ben near Motcomb Street. The great thing is that it runs almost concurrently with the Chelsea Flower Show, held at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London, 19–24 May 2026, and Chelsea In Bloom. Both Chelsea In Bloom and Belgravia in Bloom are free to visit. It’s a time when these parts of West London are at their best. Participate in a walking tour around Belgravia or Chelsea in Bloom. However, at Chelsea, you also have the added feature of exhilarating rickshaw rides. What to expect at this year’s  Belgravia In Bloom and Chelsea In Bloom

Belgravia In Bloom

Last year, the theme was ‘Through the Seasons’. The floral artistry was phenomenal! One of my favourites and indeed an award winner for the Most Joyful Display: Summerill & Bishop, 58 Elizabeth St, London SW1W 9PB. Who can forget if they saw her, the stunning head of ‘Mother Nature in Full Bloom created by Neill Strain Floral Couture. This year, the theme will be Fairy Tales in Belgravia. She was located in front of Parson’s Nose butchers at 81 Ebury St, SW1W 9NP. The aim will be to present displays inspired by nostalgia, imagination and other-worldly charm.

This fabulous floral festival is FREE and will be taking place from 18 to 24 May 2026. If you will be using public transport, the nearest tube stations to Belgravia in Bloom are Victoria, Knightsbridge and Sloane Square. It’s easy to make a day of eating. Grab a tea or lunch from any of the amazing eateries in Belgravia

Chelsea In Bloom

Chelsea in Bloom 2025 was highly fashun! The theme was ‘Flowers In Fashion’. The floral artists did their big one. There were displays showcasing larger-than-life handbags, dresses made of flowers, a Punk Rock head and a variety of pastoral themes. Mark your calendars. Chelsea is set to bloom again! From 18-24 May 2026, Chelsea in Bloom returns with this year’s theme, ‘Out of this World’. You can expect an intergalactic wonderland of creativity drawing on astrology, mythology, spiritual symbolism, and celestial magic. There will be a zodiac constellation taking over Sloane Square, a UFO landing on Pavilion Road, and an immersive lunar landscape at Duke of York Square, with more surprises along the King’s Road and Sloane Street.

Make a day of it. I usually take a packed lunch, then treat myself to something like a nice tea and cake. There are quite a few places to eat out in Chelsea.

Visitor Tips For Floral Festivals

When you are attending the floral festivals, be prepared for the changable weather. The later you attend the busier they will be and you definitely get your steps in.

Wear comfy shoes but forget to get you ‘gladdy rags’ on to be ready for your Instagram moments.

I would recommend the rickshaw ride at Chelsea In Bloom. The ride takes your along to see all the main displays, then you can decide which ones you would like to see up close.

If you have to time, get involved in the activities planned during the days the festivals are run. Visit each festival website for further details to plan you visit

Get Social

I can’t recommend these flower festivals enough. It’s a fun day out to have with kids or friends. As you can imagine, there are lots of instagrammable moments, and you will also discover new shops and eateries along the way.
