The further I get into my menopause journey, my skin gets more sensitive and prone to dryness. In an attempt to harness as much moisture as possible, I’ve added a few my stopes to my skin care regime. Serums and oils are now a must. Since it takes more time to get through my regime, I like to make it a mindful experience. Botanical scents are amongst my favourite for my night time regime or when I’m on the go. Jurlique is one brand known for using powerful botanicals in their skincare products. One of their most popular collections is the Rare Rose. I’ve never tried it but the Aloe Vera skin mist and hand cream are a must, when I’m commuting. New to the Jurlique family is their Herbal Recovery range.
Jurlique’s Herbal Recovery
I attended the launch of Jurlique’s Herbal Recovery range at the Sea Containers Spa. While I was there I took the opportunity have a face massage. It was for the first-hand experience, you see. My 15 minutes in the chair was pure bliss. The soothing scent of the botanicals transported my mind away from my busy schedule.
The range contains 99% natural origin ingredients. Jurlique’s exclusive recovery blend was created to protects skin from environmental stressors. Creating the blend, they used botanical adaptogens and antioxidants: farm-grown Holy Basil (adaptogene and antioxidant), Iris Root (supports skin recovery to alleviate signs of fatigue), Echinacea (protect skin against environmental stressors) and Black Elderflower (exfoliate skin). Additionally, the fragrance 100% natural origin. Honestly, it would be difficult to smell this range and not let out a vocal or mental ‘AHHHH’.
The Herbal Recovery range is comprised of 5 products: a face oil (50ML £65), face cream (50ML £63), eye cream (15ML £49), eye roll-on (10ML £49) and a serum (30ML £68). Excitingly, the serum is a Bi-Phase formula which is an oil and water base. It is suitable for all skin types and helps fight the first signs of aging.
TIP: The serum and eye roll-on can be stored in the fridge. Cooler products should enhance the soothing experience on mature skin.
Jurlique’s Sustainable Practice
Jurlique has ensured that Herbal Recovery is sustainable. Not only do they source ingredients from their biodynamic farm, in Adelaide Hills, Australia, but cartons and bottles for Herbal Recovery is recyclable. Furthermore, each product is not laminated and FSC Certified. Lighter packaging also helps to reduce the carbon foot print.
At the heart of the brand is Ulrike and Jurgen Klein’s mission to create high-performing, pure and natural skincare. On their farm they support the health and vitality of the land by sustainably planting and harvesting the botanicals used in their skincare.
